Crafty Gift and Gag Gift Ideas<br /><br />Last year I made everybody I know scarves, I made a couple of little boxes, and I painted some nutcrackers. This year, the most creative thing Ive done is wrap a birthday present in Christmas paper. And not for the sake of creativity, but for the sake of laziness. I made a wreath too, but that was for myself.<br /><br />I need some crafting ideas!! Anybody out there have any fun suggestions? My painting skills are somewhat read: very lacking. I like to glue things and I love glitter. I can do plastic canvas. I know two stitches in crotchet so thats not the best idea those two stitches made about 15 scarves though.<br /><br />I also need a gag gift for my fiance something silly that will be from our cats. The label will probably read To Pawpaw from Cringer and Jill so it has to be something really ridiculous. My sib suggested a mug that says Worlds Best Dad which might be fun, but is it silly enough? I am not sure. or string. :P Im tempted to take those classes at craft stores to learn how to sew or crochet. It really interests me.<br /><br />Im making a wreath this year for my mother for her front door. :3 Its not a Christmas gift per say. but just a fun unique gift for Christmas. :D<br /><br />I like to go in crafting stores to look at their already assembled pieces like a plain wooden box and think of what I could do it to turn it from 6 connected planks of wood into something fun. Jewelry box, perhaps? They come in different sizes too.<br /><br />You dont need super painting skills to color something a different color. :<br /><br />Have you tried making jewelry? I got a really awesome book from the library that I liked so much I scanned every single page to keep. It has very detailed how tos on making different jewelry pieces with different techniques.<br /><br />Scrap books for people you know whom you have fun memories with is nice too and sentimental. :D<br /><br />Gifts from pets is so much fun! They even have cards from pets in stores! :D I think the cup idea is brilliant. At the mall here, theres a kiosk that does t shirt with pets on it with a message. I always found them to be super creepy but at the same time would be a super funny gag gift. XD<br /><br />My mom can do everything. Crotchet, knitting, cross stitch, plastic canvas, painting, I could go on. She has tried to teach me but I lack patience. I have picked up a few tings.<br /><br />I have done some beading but the jewelry I make tends to fall apart. Heh. I think the crafting talent is lacking in me my mom gave it all to my sib, :P I do love making scrapbooks, I forgot about that; I made my sib an awesome one last year with pictures of us as children and a bunch of inside jokes. I also lack the crafting talent that comes naturally to others in my family but since Im related its gonna be in me somewhere so I refuse to give up! I love it so much and its sometimes off putting when I cant just make something as easily as others.<br /><br />Have you ever made anything with ceramics? They sell clay in craft stores that you can cook in your own oven at home.
