According to the label it is safe for gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, opals, pearls, soft stones, plated jewelry, costume jewelry, all metals, precious and semi precious stones.<br /><br />There is a gray foil wrapper on the inner jar. On the front is a picture of two palm trees. The instructions are printed on the back in blue raised ink. The formula is non toxic and biodegradable. No ammonia, acid or alcohol is added to this product. It is simply a blend of coconut oil and banana. When cleaning all you do is soak, remove, rinse and wipe dry with a soft and delicate cloth. You can also use this to clean your eyeglasses and watches. They suggest if your jewelry is very dirty to use a soft toothbrush to clean with. Use extra caution when cleaning your pearls, glued and dyed jewelry. They should be soaked for a very short time. It is not necessary to add water to the cleaner.<br /><br />While there are several size choices available for purchases I chose the 4 fluid ounce container.
